I collaborate with clients who are ready to move beyond cookie-cutter design and embrace a soulful, layered approach rooted in history, artistry, and intention. As the founder of a nationally recognized, female-led design and construction studio, I specialize in transforming older homes with fresh perspective—blending timeless architecture with modern-day function.
With a background in art education, classical fine art training from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and over two decades of experience in design and construction, my work is grounded in a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and story. I believe great design is about more than just aesthetics—it’s about creating a space that feels like home, supports how you live, and evolves with you over time.
Our studio is known for striking that delicate balance between beauty and practicality, honoring architectural integrity while making room for real life. Through a thoughtful mix of color, texture, natural materials, and personalized details, we craft old-soul spaces designed to feel collected, connected, and unmistakably yours.
Whether you’re renovating a historic home or customizing new construction, we love helping you put down roots and infuse your space with local character.
We believe in doing it right the first time: being on time and on budget, sourcing well-made materials, and refining the smallest details to bring your vision to life.
Trusting someone with your vision is no small thing. That’s why we always tell it like it is, keep you updated at every step, and make it easy and convenient for you to get in touch with us throughout your project.
We’re honored to partner with like-minded artists and trustworthy tradespeople — and you can count on us to manage your team and keep everything running smoothly.
We live in a cookie-cutter neighborhood, but when you walk into our home, it’s very custom. That’s all because of Krystal and Old Soul. From a decorating standpoint, every room has a flow of intention, even though we didn’t decorate the entire house at once. On the construction side, she set us up with people like stone masons and electricians who could turn our big ideas into reality.
Krystal made us feel confident as soon as she started designing and managing our office renovation. She understood who we were as people and the direction we wanted to go, but she’s the true visionary — she puts ideas together in an incredible way. Her work made everyone at our company feel proud. She was able to make a big difference for our business.
